DSRL opened up Season 25 with the Jess & Jim’s Steakhouse Big Blocks from the new to iRacing, Husets Speedway! Something new to the Big Blocks but not to DSRL, was the random draw for your heat race starting positions. A total of 16 drivers logged into the server to help kick off the new season.

40-Lap Feature
Garrett Boyd would lead the field to green for 40-laps with Heat 2 winner, Buddy Ware to his outside. The battle early was pretty much 2nd through about 8th. Several drivers sticking to the high side around the Husets Speedway. Around laps 10 Patrick Cobb was able to make his way around Ware using the bottom/middle part of the track to take over the 2nd spot as Boyd continued to lead.

Alec Serzynski found himself battling a pair of teammates just inside the top 5 as the feature hit the halfway mark. Dalton DeWert and Samuel Bachman are the teammates. Lap 25, DeWert closed in on Cobb for the 2nd with Ware, Serzynski and Bachman close behind. On lap-28 he was able to make the pass around Cobb and stalled closing in on race leader, Boyd. Boyd was working the bottom side of the track, while DeWert was running the slider line. On lap-33 he was able to get around Boyd and take over the lead. Boyd and Cobb would have their own battle for 2nd. Cobb would get into the outside wall with just a few laps to go. He would hold onto 3rd place at the end of the 40-laps.
