DSRL’s Monday Night Thunder Jess & Jim’s Steakhouse 360 Sprints were in action for Rd #7 from Lucus Oil Speedway. No qualifying this week, we are back to the random draw for your heat race starting postitions.

30 Lap Feature

Rory Collins was scheduled to start on the pole of the 30-lap feature from Lucas Oil Speedway. Drivers are given the option to take EOL if they choose to or don’t feel comfortable in their starting position. This would move Johnathon White to pole for the start of the A-Main Feature. White would get a good start and lead the field to green.

The first caution of the night would come out on lap-4. Around 7 drivers all battling for positions early on would lead to some 3 wide action. Scott Thomason and Matt Westfall were in a battle for 6th, a small slider from Westfall lead to the Thomason trying to cut under him. With it being early on in the feature, Thomason would make contact with Trevor Royer sending Thomason into the infield tractor tire and sending Royer back up the track. Collins and King would also get collected as drivers tried to work their way by.

White would restart the field on lap-5. Craig Silby and Dean Reynolds started to battle for 2nd. Mike Watson would go over the berm in turn 1 and get into the wall. Unfortuntly this would put his car on its side and bring out the 2nd caution of the feature.

Restart on lap-10 would once again have White out front. Reynolds would be in 2nd and start to challenge White for the lead on lap-13. Reynolds would work the highside of the track and take over the lead shortly after. Jayden Wolf would get into 2nd ahead of Cilby. Miles Jansen would start working his way up into 4th.

Westfall would make contact with King on lap 20. This would send the #118 of King into the fence and putting an end to his evening. On the restart it was Reynolds out front with Wolfe in 2nd. Wolfe would go for a slider on lap-22 on Reyonds. Reynolds got put into a situtation and tried to lift but but contact with him and Wolfe would cause Wolfe to make contact with the front stretch wall. This would be the end of Wolfe’s night.

Restart on lap-24 would be Reynolds, Silby and Jansen your top 3. On lap-25 Silby and Reynolds would make contact as the worked their way down the back stretch. Reynolds front end would be damaged and put him into the pits with 5 laps to go. Racecontrol would hand out an EOL to Silby for the contact. This would give the lead to Jansen on the restart. Garrett Boyd made his way into 3rd and had a nice battle with Larry Moody. Contact with Richie Gaines and Moody would cause Gaines to get a little to sideways for iRacing and bring out a caution with just 3 laps to go. Jansen and White would battle for the last few laps as did the Boyd and Moody for the final podium spot. In the end it was Moody taking 3rd place right at the end.
